My name's Amy.

I’m an artist and maker of things based in Nottingham.

I graduated from Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University in 2007 and went on to establish my freelance illustration business shortly afterwards. Over the following 15+ years my style evolved, my business grew and my projects took on all kinds of creative and fun shapes. I had the pleasure of working with some incredible clients and contributed art to some truly beautiful projects.

In 2023-2024 I decided to make some big changes and took a step back from predominantly digital illustration, picked up my nan’s old sewing kit and began exploring the world of upcycling and slow fashion. I had gradually been incorporating textiles into my practice so it didn’t feel too unfamiliar but in 2024 I felt the personal need to reconnect with the handmade, the slow processes that go into making, mending, tweaking and turning something old into something new. It wasn’t a quick adjustment but it was an important one and I’m excited to finally be in a place to share these creations with you here and now. I plan to offer workshops in the not too distant future where I can share some of the skills I’ve learned with anyone who might be interested.

I’m not currently taking commissions for illustration work but if you have any textile based creative endeavours feel free to drop me a message below! This could be commissioned wall hangings, upcycled clothing - you name it, I’d love to hear from you.
