Tweet tote – Exclusive for ‘i dress myself’

Friday, February 19th, 2010
It’s been aaaaages since my last post! I’m so sorry about that. I’ve wanted to share this little sweet treat with you folks for about a week (and a bit) – if you follow me on twitter it’s probably old news by now, but  it definitely deserves a post. Appropriately titled ‘Tweet Tote’ this handy shopper is avalable exclusively through the Nottingham based company I Dress Myself. Photo credits go to the lovely folk at I Dress myself. You can buy online (go on, treat yourself) here! It also means there’s a rather quirkly blurb about my work – check it out –> here!
The move’s taken up so much time and brain power and I’ve failed miserably to document any of it. I promise to have some pictures of the new abode shortly. As for business related news I honestly wasn’t expecting to have the online shops closed this long. As soon as the work space is up and running everything will be functioning just like the good old days. Horray! I also have some new projects on the go which I’m looking forward to sharing with you in the not too distant future. I’ll say no more,  have a wonderful weekend!

nice surprise

Friday, December 11th, 2009

I got a feature on the amazing site that is dooce! An awesome surprise indeed. The blog feature has probably made “The Girl and the Fox” print the most popular one in the shop, which makes me happy because it’s certainly one of my favourites. After a day of manic packing I’m very nearly ready to pay another visit to the post office. I had a lovely day yesterday, massive thank you to everyone who was out and had a nice time. It was perfecto :)

dooce

Today’s target is to brew up a new design for thank you postcards. Fingers crossed I’ve got my decision making cap on today otherwise you’ll be hearing from me sooner than expected asking yet again for words of wisdom and advice.

Christmas Post etc.

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Christmas is on it’s way, well and truly on it’s way. This is just a quick note for those of you hoping to do some Christmas shopping this week on etsy. My cut off point for international shipping is the 9th (THIS WEDNESDAY) and for local shipping is the 18th (A WEEK ON FRIDAY). So be quick! I’d hate to miss the Christmas deadline :(

Also another reminder – my online shops will be closed during Christmas and until the new year. Panic not I will return :) With even more prints to share. That’s all for now folks!

ps – Etsy shop is now kitted out with a lovely seasonal banner, woop!

kiosk

Here’s some pictures from the last 3 days , which were spent in the chilly outside promoting pictures and other pretty things. Me, Eireann and Hollie shared the space – and the hot water bottles – in central Nottingham. Above is the Kiosk. Below are some of the treats I took with me.

supplies

We had cards, prints, badges, handmade beauties in all shapes and sizes. It was good fun but VERY cold. We survived though!

eireann's mushrooms

Above are some gorgeous mushrooms made by Eireann. I did treat myself to a handful of her original prints – which I will share in the future ‘for sure’ (sorry, private joke).

This evening I have RELAX TIME planned. I might even start making myself some new socks. I have chocolate biscuits, soup and omelettes planned – not to mention TONS of buffy… I heart buffy. But before any of that can begin it’s time for a second trip to the post office – go team! ‘Aw jeez’ hehe… sorry…

Digging for treasure

silver snow

I found this treasure in an charity shop the other day and fell in love with it. I’m definitely a winter baby – I’m loving the bitter dry cold weather we’re having (the rain – not so much). Anyway, I’m pleased I’ll have a reminder of winter during the warmer months to come. A very shiny delicate reminder of winter :) My indestructible snowflake.

As well as charity shops I’ve been combing through all of my favourite etsy vintage boutiques and I’ve found some gorgeous things. I’ve been calling them my birthday treats to myself… admittedly my birthday isn’t for another week and I’m highly likely to find more treasures between now and then – especially now the Christmas market is here!!! But I love them and wanted to share pictures. First is an old french candy tin purchased from probably the most regular place I shop on etsy: littlebyrdvintage. Rebekah is a star and puts up with my constant postage related emails. She stocks such beautiful things too :)

french treasure

The next item I came across was this stunning little painting purchased from a newly discovered shop called WinkingOwl. Full of treasures, I wish I had enough pennies to ship them over here :). The painting has such beautiful colours.

mini painting

I’m going to cut this post a little short as I have to go an get myself ready. I’ll update it a little bit later on. Enjoy the eye candy though :)
