Hello there!
It’s been one of those weekends where I seem to be covering myself and anything within a metre radius in paint – sometimes intentionally but more often that not… accidentally. I’ve started working on some new stuff and things for the up and coming festive season and now is as good a time as any to announce some lovely fair’s I’m participating in!
First up! I’ve been invited to share my colourful creations at the next PRETTY DANDY FLEA! Come along on Saturday 24th of November to the Congregational Church – slap bang in the middle of Nottingham (opposite Weavers). Feast your eyes on the delights Becky’s been rounding up and don’t forget to feast on the cake while you’re there.

Next up we have the loveliness that is Nottingham Contemporary’s Craft Market – taking place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of December! Another perfect excuse to come along and fill your belly with treats and your pockets with festive treasure. Here’s a peek at the flyer and list of fellow creatives taking part! So much to look forward to!

Right, for now I think have caused/created enough paint related chaos to last a lifetime…
here’s a sneak peek…

Holiday update part 2 – The end is the beginning – We flew into Copenhagen and spent the day pottering about. I had a mini childhood pilgrimage to do, the mermaid. I was a massive mermaid fan when I was shorter and the trek to statue made me feel like I was 5 again (stuffing my face with ice cream just the same). The chap playing high-speed classical music on bottles was probably the icing on the cake. Brought back memories of Nottingham’s Xylophone man and I considered kidnapping Bottle man as a replacement. Alas, no room in the luggage…

Our Adventure began with a trip to Manchester to see the Magnetic Fields – the tickets were surprise birthday gift from Tom to his Ma (best gift ever, right?). After filling our ears with wonderful witty tunes the next day we set off to the north…
We walked, we ate LOTS of yummy food (I always seem to eat scones when I go up there, I don’t know why… it just happens. The cheese scone I had up there this time was my favourite) we had a lovely time. While we were in Manchester I took the plunge and came away with my first (I say ‘first’ like that because I know what I’m like with bags and there’s always going to be more) Cath Kidston. Right now, like lots of things I own, it’s full of knitting.

Easter is here! Hope you’re filling your bellies with well earned chocolate treats (or in the process of tearing the house down looking for them). Here are some snaps from yesterday – the West Bromwich adventure.

I introduced Leanne to the world of instagram and things got silly from the word go :)

Illya sends her grumpy love/meows/brrup noises. (she knows there’s a chicken in the oven and it doesn’t have her name on it)

Here are some snaps from last weeks London shaped adventure. I got some tickets (last December) to see The Mousetrap at St Martin’s in Londonland and it was AMAZING! I’m such a huge fan of Agatha Christie and everything about that show made you feel like you’d taken a step back in time. Absolutely perfect! We stayed the night there and did some pleasant wandering about before the performance. I treated myself to a copy (at last) of Tamara Drewe for the train ride home. Lovely lovely times!
