jordan grace owens pin

The treasures arrived! I saw these beauties by Jordan Grace Owens featured on the Pikaland site and couldn’t resist. I want more… I bought them as gifts but I don’t think I can part with them. How bad am I? Ahem, yes very. I want the paper dolls too…

Leftovers

leftovers print

My newest print – now in the shops. Based on my ever growing ’sewing’ drawer, which is starting to bulge. I have to admit I am one of those folk who get ideas for projects, purchase the supplies but usually end up never getting round to it. It’s nice to think my purchases didn’t go to waste though and actually inspired a doodle. Anyway, the print is titled ‘Leftovers’, measures 8″ x 10″ and can be found in both online shops. Horray!

the gates

I started reading this last night and it’s brilliant. So brilliant that I couldn’t help but get up this morning, read some more, write a post about it and hope that you go out and hunt it down or perhaps put it on your Christmas list (if it’s not too late!). It’s witty, it’s clever, the kid and his dog are bonkers but hilarious. Awesomeness :)

Digging for treasure

silver snow

I found this treasure in an charity shop the other day and fell in love with it. I’m definitely a winter baby – I’m loving the bitter dry cold weather we’re having (the rain – not so much). Anyway, I’m pleased I’ll have a reminder of winter during the warmer months to come. A very shiny delicate reminder of winter :) My indestructible snowflake.

As well as charity shops I’ve been combing through all of my favourite etsy vintage boutiques and I’ve found some gorgeous things. I’ve been calling them my birthday treats to myself… admittedly my birthday isn’t for another week and I’m highly likely to find more treasures between now and then – especially now the Christmas market is here!!! But I love them and wanted to share pictures. First is an old french candy tin purchased from probably the most regular place I shop on etsy: littlebyrdvintage. Rebekah is a star and puts up with my constant postage related emails. She stocks such beautiful things too :)

The next item I came across was this stunning little painting purchased from a newly discovered shop called WinkingOwl. Full of treasures, I wish I had enough pennies to ship them over here :). The painting has such beautiful colours.

I’m going to cut this post a little short as I have to go an get myself ready. I’ll update it a little bit later on. Enjoy the eye candy though :)

post office adventure

It’s time to say goodbye to the September sale. This was the last few orders to get sent on their merry way to their new owners. I haven’t been able to write/share much recently on the blog because I’ve either been printing, drawing, at work or asleep. I’ve finally managed to start on some wholesale bundles – Christmas cards (gulp) are running through the printing press as I type. Some people seem to turn a funny shade of green when I mention the word Christmas…

current obsession

This is one of my current obsessions (terrible photo). It’s a seasonal fixation – obviously. Anyway, I can’t stop myself picking them up on my way into work each day. My pockets are usually bulging before I make it out of Sneinton. Above, is the latest bundle of treasures. They feel so good! Anyone would think I was part squirrel.

A3 print

A glimpse of a new large print I’ll be launching in the next few days. Also a snap shot of my very very messy paper table… yeah can’t really justify that. Yes, that is a blow up doll in the background – don’t panic, it got thrown at us by Chuck Palahniuk when he came-a-visitin’ our cinema. It’s signed, we couldn’t not take her home.

ps – We’re possibly pet shopping this weekend…. EEEEEE!!
