A new print now up for grabs! Available in both shops. I drew this portrait late last year but never thought much of it. It wasn’t until I gave it a splash of colour that I realised how much I liked it. I love the blue stripes and her chain most of all and I’m glad it finally turned into a print! I hope you like it too :) I’m in the process of working on 2 more new prints and (fingers crossed) I hope to have them up for show over the weekend. Also – the house badges featured in one of the previous posts have now been packaged up and are available to buy in the shops. Take a peek!

A familiar illustration freshly tweaked. If you think back to February time I went through a short but intense phase of drawing magpies. This was all down to picapica magazine :) Here’s a link if you didn’t catch the original illustration I did for the competition. I was really pleased with the bird and decided to make a few changes making it more wall friendly. It’s available in both shops.

A new print to welcome in the new year! I’ve been sat on this one for a couple of weeks, itching to get it out there and in the shops. I’m pleased to say you can now find it on etsy and folksy! It’s an open edition print so it won’t just vanish after the new year festivities, so panic not. The print measures 8″ x 10″ (landscape) and is printed on archival heavyweight matte paper. There is room around the edges for framing with or without a mount. The colours are all bright and crisp. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

Cha Cha Cha…

After soaking up all the visual yumminess that is the folksy festive sampler (I really like saying that) I went on my monthly trip to visit the unit 11,  middle of nowhere post office depot where they keep an eye on all of the big things that people can’t squeeze through the letter box (boxes of paper mainly). On my way there was beautiful sunshine, blue skies and patchy white blob like clouds… On the way back Nottingham was being devoured by this:

By the time I reached my final destination (between the black church and the windmill) I was battling off snow to the face and ready for a very big cup of tea.

This is going to be a very random post by the way. Illya’s been doing even more batty things. She’s currently picking fights with E.T:

Today’s been a day for compiling lists. Some are practical and some are just for fun. I’m pleased to say that I’ve ticked 3 very important things off of the practical list today (horray!) which justifies me spending a bit of time scribbling down the fun lists.

I can imagine you’re fed up of my lists. Trouble is I could write them for England. I’m sure the few remaining posts of 2009 will contain a couple more.  Its time to pick up the pens and draw some pictures, possibly read a few more pages of my book. On the print side – I have finally made an A3+ print of the ‘jug of flowers’. That will be in the shops very soon. I also have some beautiful gift tag sets which will be available at the start of October (if not sooner) - Just in time for that giant present buying season we’ve got coming up ;) . Everyone’s birthdays seem to pool at this end of the year, mine included. Gift hunting feels like a none stop activity which begins in September and works it’s way round to February – fortunately I like hunting for gifts :) but that doesn’t make it any less exhausting.

Anyway, this was just a small note to say ‘hello, I haven’t forgotten you’. I look forward to doing what I call a ‘normal’ post with pictures and diagrams in the very near future. I hope you’re all enjoying the September sale still :) There will be a print swap around in the night so by tomorrow morning 15 different pictures will be available at half price. I can’t believe how quickly this month is flying by…
