Leftovers

leftovers print

My newest print – now in the shops. Based on my ever growing ’sewing’ drawer, which is starting to bulge. I have to admit I am one of those folk who get ideas for projects, purchase the supplies but usually end up never getting round to it. It’s nice to think my purchases didn’t go to waste though and actually inspired a doodle. Anyway, the print is titled ‘Leftovers’, measures 8″ x 10″ and can be found in both online shops. Horray!

snowman

A friend I met on the way into work. I didn’t make him so I can’t take credit for that but he made me smile. We’ve had wonderful winter weather but alas it rained this morning and that wiped out most of the snowy wonderland we’ve been enjoying. I’ve got some new prints and projects on the go. I’m looking forward to sharing them with you, some sooner than others :)

Hope you’re all enjoying the snow and using it as a good excuse for mulled wine, hot chocolate and corn on the cobs.

Make way for the ladies

portraits!

The new ladies have finally made their way into the shop! I’m pleased to say they do include the mounts :) Horray! The page measure 8″ x 10″ and with the mounts are all ready to frame. They will be signed on the back and sent in a sturdy hardback envelope.

It took me a while to come up with names for the pieces. I settled on the ‘Me and You’ series. Someone pointed out the portraits reminded them of the Philip Pullman stories, with each girl having their own little animal companion. I hadn’t thought of those books when I was drawing them but it’s a really nice association to make. If I was a character in one of his stories I’d like to think my daemon would be a red squirrel. How about you?

ps – HAPPY NEW YEAR!
