Ah ha!

pumpkin in the kitchen

It’s been ages since I’ve done a decent sized post. It didn’t help my website did a nose dive into the ‘bandwidth exceeded’ zone – oops! All sorted thought, as you can see :)

The last 24 hours have been filled with unexpected successes. I finished the 1st of many woolen Christmas gifts last night (3 gifts ticked off the list) I’ve started the next. Today I successfully posted some orders – it’s always satisfying exiting the post office with a lighter/ emptier bag. I went and filled this bag up again with wool from the wool shop. After that I took some (very late) library books back – and DIDN’T get a good telling off which made a nice change, while I was there I treated myself to a couple of Agatha Christies for the haunting weekend ahead.

I successfully purchased a pumpkin after tripping over the giant (but low down) crate of them in tesco. I got home with plenty of time to make a cup of tea and sit down to an unseen episode of Poirot (hurrah!). Carved previously mention pumpkin. I never did quite get the hang of ‘frightening’ or ‘terrifying’. I prefer the surprised look. Simple and effective too :)

I also happened to be in when the post man arrived at 3pm (!?) and have my beeeeeyoutiful new fine edition of Emma. So shiny and nice. Fingers crossed I do a better job reading Emma than I did Sense and Sensibility.

I printed some more cards and now it’s time for me to work on some custom designs before friendly faces arrive armed with take out menus, movies, pop corn and good company :) Today is a good day indeed.
